Tech4Her@NAWEM Launch

The launch of the Tech4Her@NAWEM program marks another milestone in private sector initiatives in response to the severe impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the business community, particularly women in business. The Asia Foundation, the National Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Malaysia (NAWEM), and Saito University College are collaborating on this project funded by Visa Foundation to assist women-led small and micro enterprises in Malaysia to get a firm foot-hold in the digital marketplace. #tech4her

During the launch, NAWEM and Saito University College had signed an MOU to award to participants who successfully complete the Tech4Her@NAWEM program and meet selection criteria, continuing education units for a Saito undergraduate or Masters program.

Tech4Her@NAWEM is a program designed to support women’s economic security and advancement by assisting women to successfully transition and grow their businesses online. Focusing on vulnerable communities in Malaysia, this program is aimed at these two inter-related challenges through a range of innovative activities designed to build the networks and capacity of micro women entrepreneurs with targeted skills and resources to contribute to their safety and livelihoods. #womenempowerment
